Once this malware comes in your phone, the people who send messages in your WhatsApp will get this automatic reply. This has been revealed by a video of a famous security researcher.
New malware ‘worm’ arrives in WhatsApp
The virus is reportedly a type of android worm.
It uploads adware into your fan. And spread via automatic messaging on WhatsApp. This means that if you get this Malware link and you click on it, it will be downloaded to your phone first. Then whoever sends you a message on WhatsApp will also see this link. That way it will continue to spread.
Lukas Stefanko, a researcher at tech security firm ESET, wrote in his Twitter post that the malware is spread through your WhatsApp. Automatic replies to incoming notifications on WhatsApp. Sends a malicious link to the Huawei Mobile app in reply. Sends 1 link to a contact in 1 hour. This could be an adware or a subscription scam.
