AHMEDABAD: Gold prices came under pressure as the economy rallied. This led to a decline in gold prices in the domestic market. However, in the Ahmedabad jewelery market, both the precious metals (Silver Price on 28 August 2020) remained unchanged at the previous closing price. Gold price on 28 August 2020 has been going down for the last few days. However, experts believe that gold could reach Rs 64,000 to Rs 82,000 by Diwali.
Gold-silver prices in Ahmedabad
In Ahmedabad, the gold-silver price remained steady at Rs 65,000 per kg and silver at Rs 64,800 per kg on Thursday without any change in the previous close. Silver also closed at Rs 65,000 and Rs 64,800 on Thursday.
In the Ahmedabad market, the 10 gram gold price remained unchanged at the previous close, with the gold standard (99.9) at Rs 52,500 and gold acidic at Rs 52,300. Also on Thursday, the gold standard (99.9) was at Rs 52,500 and the gold acid was at Rs 52,300. In addition, 10 grams of hallmark jewelry was priced at Rs 51,450.
What do the experts say?
According to Tapan Patel, senior analyst (commodities) at HDFC Securities, gold prices came under pressure as the economy rallied. Navneet Damani, vice-president, commodity research, Motilal Oswal Financial Services, said gold prices would stabilize by 1 per cent after the dollar weakened in the first session. Investors are awaiting a speech from Federal Reserve Chairman Jerome Powell.
