The Supreme Court of India has decided to hear a petition seeking extension of the Reserve Bank of India’s RBI-Reserve Bank of India’s Loan EMI Moratorium Extended till December. The matter is likely to be heard by the Supreme Court on September 1. The petitioner has argued in court that the moratorium facility should be extended till December this year as the moratorium facility which was given in view of the difficulties in the Corona crisis has now come to an end.
Loan EMI Moratorium ending August 31st
The loan moratorium for 6 months is coming to an end 3 days from today by the Reserve Bank of India. The RBI announced a three-month loan moratorium following the lockdown in the wake of the Corona virus.
His time limit was then extended to 3 months. Which is ending August 31st. After the RBI changed its term for the second time, the bankers said that the non-deposit of the loan amount would affect the financial system.
What will happen now?
A bench headed by Justice Ashok Bhushan accepted the plea of advocate Vishal Tiwari. Now the Supreme Court will hear it in conjunction with the already lumbar moratorium case. Let me tell you that the court, hearing the petitions before August 26, slammed the government for not taking the side of the RBI in the matter and clarifying its position within a week.
