The scam was speeded up by SOG police before several mounds of government grain in several vehicles reached private godowns. As many as 14 vehicles were reported to be carrying foodgrains, police said, seizing the vehicles on the way and seizing the foodgrains.

On this basis, the vehicles mentioned in the blockade were found on Dhangadhra Surendranagar Highway near Sitapur bus stand.
