Bhargava Suresh Gabani, a jeweler living in Gopinath Society near Kantareshwar temple, had borrowed Rs 12,000 from Saumil Sutaria a year ago.
Kirtesh Patel, Surat: Murder and kidnapping are common in the city. In Surat, a young man was abducted by five men to recover a loan of Rs 12,000 from a friend. Complaining to the young man’s family, the Surat police released the abducted youth and arrested five youths in connection with the kidnapping.
Bhargava Suresh Gabani, a jeweler living in Gopinath Society near Kantareshwar temple in Katargam area of Surat, had borrowed Rs 12,000 from Saumil Sutaria a year ago. Bhargava could not return the amount. Bhargava was standing with his friend near Dabholi Bridge last night when five men abducted him in a car and took him to an office near Hari Darshan pit. Here the young man was beaten by Lafa as well as Dhikapattu.
Here everyone beat Bhargava. However, Bhargava’s friends informed his family about the incident and the family immediately contacted the Chokbazar police. Within hours of police prosecuting the case, Bhargava was released from the kidnappers and all the five accused were nabbed. Among the arrested accused, Dinesh Lakhani, Hardik Savani, Deacon Ambliar, Hershal Shambhu Sutaria and Dhruvkumar Sangani have been booked by the police on a charge of kidnapping. Police have initiated legal action in the matter.
